The Department of Political Science was established in 1964 to offer Political Science course for Pre-Degree Programme and later became complementary course to Degree programme in Economics. The department functions with a single faculty member.
We have one permanent faculty in the department who handle the lecture classes since work load is for six hours. Further, the present faculty Sri. Satheesh Kumar S is the present CLMC Convenor and PTA Secretary of the college. He had also been the Programme officer of NSS during 2012-2016. He holds M.A, B.Ed and M.Phil degrees and has 9 years of teaching experience.

TKMM College, Nagiarkulangara is named after the great freedom fighter and social reformer Sri.T.K.Madhavan, one of the most acclaimed leaders of Vaikkam Sathyagraha. Our college is established in the year 1968.Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala Sri. R.Sankar has layed the foundation. He is also the founder manager of all SN Colleges in Kerala.
The Department of Hindi has begun its journey in the college from the beginning of the colleges itself as an additional language course. T
