The Alumni Association of T. K. Madhava College has been functioning for many years as a supportive organ of the college. The association creates an active, lively, and cooperative alumnae network that is crucial to the institution's development and attempts to promote a strong relationship between the College and Alumnae in a range of ways. The Alumni Association has received official registration under the Travancore- Cochin Cultural, Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act 1955 (A-696/03) on 19.11.2003.
OUR MISSION:
To re-unite in the nest from where we grew and flew off.
To build a bridge between college life and career life, so as introduce present students to the professional world and to make them proactive to face the challenges that may emerge in their career path.
To provide a platform for students to develop their qualities.
To participate in social welfare activities for social accountability.
ACTIVITIES:
The Alumni Association of TKMMC, Nangiarkulangara conducted an intercollegiate basketball tournament on 22.12.2017. The alumni helps the youth in the exposure of their abilities in various sports and games.
TKMM College 1994-97 Degree batch Alumni organized 'ORMA 2018' family meet on 26.08.2018. In the program Prof. Jayachandran Memorial endowment was awarded to the students who got first position in the story and poetry writing competitions. Thus, the alumni always encourage students who has creative thinking and gives financial supports.
2004-2007 B.Sc Mathematics batch reunion contributed 35 Supreme Dream Chairs at the Seminar hall on 11/02/2019. The students as well as the faculties get benefited from these types of contributions.
The Alumni Association of TKMMC, Nangiarkulangara organized GURUVANDANAM- 2019 on 22.02. 2019 . Honouring of the former teaching and non- teaching staffs and the first batch students (1964-66) were conducted in the program. This program was an everlasting memory for all those who participated in the program.
The alumni association of TKMMC donated new sound system for College Auditorium on 30/12/2021. The alumni always with the needs of the College at proper time.
Zoology Alumni of TKMMC honored Prof. P Sreemon, H.O.D., Department of Zoology retiring on May 2022. The association is always active in conducting such types of functions.
OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS:
Dr. S B Sreejaya, former Principal-in-charge as well as an alumna of the college (BSc Zoology 1980-83) along with her brother and alumnus Mr. B Sreekumar sponsored the renovation of Principal’s chamber.
Mr. Binu, B. Com Alumni donated Rs 25,000/- towards purchasing chairs for girls hostel.
BA English (2004-2007) donated a lectern for the college seminar hall.
The Alumni association is moving ahead, with selfless intentions for the growth and development of college students and society around. The association will continuously work for a better tomorrow.
